Dear PhD Self

You are Smart

This is more like a reminder to myself. I have completed both Bachelors degree and Masters degree in Economics in flying colours, but I still doubt that I have what it takes to complete this PhD. As a matter of fact, I don’t want to put pressure on myself to graduate with distinction this time. I just want to finish well and in record time.

I guess I am saying that if you feel this way, You are not alone and you are smart. You are brilliant. You can comprehend complex processes and simplify them for others to understand. You have got what it takes to complete this degree and finish it well. So before you go plunging yourself deep into the ocean called anxiety remember that You are smart.

Your research is important and so are you. You are smart that is why you are embarked on a research that will cause disruption in your field. I am cheering you on.
